Greetings, I'm Bird Wong. Nestled amidst the rugged beauty of the Sonoran Desert, I spent my formative years exploring its windswept landscapes and meeting the delicate creatures that continue to inspire my art to this day. My career started with tattooing where I spent five years developing my skills as an artist and nursed a passion for the fine detail and bold contrast of the craft. I am now focusing on printing as well as digital & traditional oil painting. I am continuously drawn to the deep interplay between light and shadow, using this contrast to convey a complicated inner world that is floated on dreams of gentle art-making. I am also a writer, an avid collector of antiques, and a dear lover of books. I believe that art and literature is a bridge to the past and that by incorporating antique elements and naturalistic themes to my lived experiences that I can create something that feels timeless and evokes a sense of nostalgia.
Now residing in Colorado, I spend my days riding horses and immersing myself in nature. I am continuously finding new inspiration for my work and developing my artistic style. I will always be incredibly grateful to be able to continue to live my life as an artist and for all the support I've found along the way.
